15 days of seakayaking in the turquise Sea of Cortez along the colourful coast and circulating the protected Isla Espiritu Santo, diving with the sea lions and exploring the south of Baja California, swimming in a beautiful pool under a waterfall near Santiago and driving a Jeep along the wild coast - a great trip we will never forget!
To everybody who wants to go on a seakayaking trip we warmly recommend Baja Outdoor Activities (www.kayactivities.com). They are a great team, lead by Ben Gillam from Wales, absolutely serious, well organised and reliable. We enjoyed our "10 Day Epic" Tour between Loreto und La Paz (www.kayactivities.com/itinerarios/epic.htm) very much: kayaking along lonely coasts with wide beaches and beautiful red rocks, eating fish-tacos at the fisher Manuels home, snorkling in the middle of colourful fishes, camping under the Mexican sun, beautiful landscape with cactuses everywhere and in the middle of the trip even a shower with fresh water! Best of all: our guide Francisco Riquelme, a former lawyer from Chile and definitely the best guide far and wide!
If you visit La Paz don't miss the hotel El Angel Azul (www.elangelazul.com). Esther Amman from Switzerland converted the former court house into a small paradise with 10 lovely rooms with their own character and a fantastic patio with a cactus garden in the middle of the hectic city. She'll gladly advise you what to see and where to go in Baja California. If you bring a pack of Lavazza coffee she'll thank you for it with a tasty margarita. Cheers!
